Dinamo Zagreb set to name training camp after Luka Modric
Among the nominees were iconic names from the Zagreb club and Croatian football such as Luka Modric (37), Zvonimir Boban, Robert Prosinecki and Mateo Kovacic.
The Real Madrid midfielder and current captain of the Croatia national team easily won the ballot with 44.91% of all votes.
Modric arrived at Dinamo Zagreb as a youngster in 2002/03. After two loan spells, he established himself in the first team in the second half of the 2004/05 season. After that, he confirmed his status as one of the team's best players and wore the captain's armband, winning three league titles, two cups and a Croatian Super Cup.
In 2007/08 he spent his last season in his home country, scoring 17 goals which earned him a move to Tottenham Hotspur. The first years in London were not easy for the rising Croatian. It all changed however, in 2012/13 he moved to Real Madrid and the rest is history.
Five Champions Leagues, five Club World Cups, four European Super Cups, three LaLiga titles, four Super Cups and a King's Cup at a collective level, as well as a Ballon d'Or in 2018 and six appearances in the FIFA XI, in individual achievements.
