The midfielder, absent since Barcelona's defeat in the Europa League, has not completed the training session with the Blaugrana and raises doubts about his participation in El Clasico. He is due to be medically cleared this Friday. However, his absence from training is a cause for alarm for the coaching staff.

The feeling's about the health of Pedri (20) are not good. The Canary Islander was hoping to be at full fitness for Sunday's Clásico. He missed, among other duels, the first leg of the Cup semi-finals at the Bernabeu and the visit of Athletic at San Mames. Both matches ended in a narrow win for Xavi's side.

The slight amount of goals scored by Barcelona, the lack of creativity and the stagnation of the ball in midfield are some of the consequences of the Pedri's absence. Now, when Xavi was counting on him for the match against Real Madrid, a compromising situation has arisen: Pedri did not finish Friday's practice .

Pedri felt physical discomfort that prevented him from finishing the training session. The player's action sows doubts: the medical staff is studying the possibility of reserving him for the Clásico to avoid an unpleasant surprise.

If Pedri's absence from the Clásico is confirmed, his participation in the qualifiers for Euro 2024 with the Spanish national team remains in doubt. Luis de la Fuente included the virtuoso player in La Roja's 26-man squad. If he is not fully fit, he could miss the matches against Norway (25 March) and Scotland (28 March).
