22:50 CET - SPAIN PROGRESS TO THE EURO 2024 FINAL! If the first half of this fascinating semi-final was rock and roll and packed full of drama, then the second half was the nervy and tense 45 minutes you might have expected for such a big occasion. But it is Spain who come out on top and book their place in the final and a shot at glory.

When the dust settles on this gripping encounter, the name Lamine Yamal will be the one on everyone's lips. A star is no longer in the making but well and truly born - it is a frightening prospect for Europe and the world alike.

22:42 CET - Five minutes left! Lamine Yamal came close to replicating his moment of genuis in the first half as Spain look to kill this tie off but his effort curled wide of the post. France are having some luck down their left through substitute Bradley Barcola but they need more and fast.

22:32 CET - There is just 15 minutes left for Kylian Mbappe and France to keep alive their hopes in this tournament. They are putting the pressure on but struggling to create any clear cut chances at the moment. Tense times...

22:20 CET - Didier Deschamps is rolling the dice for France, Antoine Griezmann, Bradley Barcola and Eduardo Camavinga are all on in place of N'Golo Kante, Adrien Rabiot and Randal Kolo Muani. It's a bold set of moves - all-out attack.

22:17 CET - Dani Vivian is on in place of Jesus Navas for Sapin, leaving them without a natural right-back.

22:15 CET - As you can see from France's average positions below, Ousmane Dembele (11) and Kylian Mbappe (10) are providing the out-ball options for Les Bleus, playing high and wide. They will need one or both of them to make an impact to get back into this semi-final.

22:02 CET - The second half is underway in Munich! If it's anywhere near as good as the first half, we will have a classic on our hands. As you can see in the xG graphic below, there hasn't been much between the sides but Spain lead 2-1.

21:48 CET - HALF-TIME - That’s half-time in Munich and it’s safe to say that has been one of the better halves of football at EURO 2024 with France scoring a lovely early opener from Randal Kolo Muani before Spain came back to score twice in four minutes.

Lamine Yamal stole the show but Dani Olmo scored a fine second for Spain, which was initially awarded as an own goal but has since been reverted to his.

21:25 CET - GOAL - Spain have doubled their lead just minutes are levelling the scores. It looked like Dani Olmo blasted the ball home but it has gone down as an own goal from Jules Kounde, perhaps unfairly. 2-1: What a game this has turned into!

21:22 CET - GOAL - 16-year-old Lamine Yamal has scored for Spain and what a goal! He cut in from the right and bent the ball into the far top corner with aplomb, right into the postage stamp as they say. Simply sublime - it's 1-1.

And with that, Yamal becomes the youngest-ever scorer in a European Championship.

21:08 CET - GOAL - France have opened the scoring early! Randal Kolo Muani rises to head home a Kylian Mbappe cross after a well-worked build-up.

1-0 to France and it's the first open-play goal they have scored all tournament! What a start for Les Bleus, quite literally a dream opening.

15:20 CET - There is more than one semi-final this week, of course. On Wednesday the Netherlands and England clash in the second semi in Dortmund.

Speaking ahead of the game, England midfielder Declan Rice (25) was typically stoic in response to questions of pressure surrounding the encounter. For Rice, it's just "business as usual" against the Dutch.
