Celtic have beaten fierce rivals Rangers 1-0 in the Scottish Cup semi-finals and will now take on Inverness for the trophy.

Jota scored the only goal of the match at Hampden Park in the first half, Daizen Maeda with the assist for his team-mate's headed effort.

Celtic started the better of the two sides, dominating much of the play in the first period - in which Rangers were unable to register a shot on target.

Rangers looked a touch more comfortable in the second half and pushed their Old Firm rivals until the final whistle.

Celtic were able to hold their ground, though, and rounded off the result for a slender win.

The Celts will now face Championship side Inverness on June 3rd at Hampden Park, as they close in on a domestic treble.
