In our daily Tennis Tracker, we bring you the most interesting news, video highlights, reactions and social media posts that you should not miss from the wide world of tennis.

00:25 CET - Carlos Alcaraz (19) and Cameron Norrie (27) played out a marathon three-setter in Rio with the British number one taking the title 7-5 in the final set. The Spaniard, who could have tied Novak Djokovic (35) at the top of the ATP rankings if he had beaten Norrie, won the first set 7-5 before the world number 13 battled back to win the second 6-4. He prevailed in the third after two hours and 43 minutes on court.

The victory saw Norrie claim his fifth ATP title and will almost definitely see him go to his highest ranking ever when they are revealed later on Monday.

Alcaraz, on the other hand, will have to wait longer if he is to claim the number one spot back from Djokovic.

15:46 CET - We have our winner in Marseille. Hubert Hurkacz (26) has seen off Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi (26) 6-3, 7-6 in 92 minutes to lift his seventh career title.

8:20 CET - Andy Murray (35) was on the verge of retirement in 2019 due to a niggling hip issue and faced an uncertain future after a second surgery the following year, but the former world number one is now targeting 800 career wins after a run to the Doha final.

8:17 CET - Barbora Krejcikova (27) said she hoped her Dubai triumph can help get her singles career get back on track following an injury-plagued 2022, during which the former French Open champion slid down the world rankings.

8:09 CET - World no.2 Carlos Alcaraz looks for redemption after he was leapfrogged by Novak Djokovic as the Spaniard missed the Australian Open to injury. He faces Cameron Norrie in the Rio de Janeiro Open final tonight.

Another finale taking place will be Hubert Hurkacz clashing with local talent in Benjamin Bonzi to win the Marseille Open.
