16:15 CET: No.1 seed Bianca Andreescu overcomes a second set wobble to beat Marta Kostyuk 6-0 7-6(3) and reach the semi-finals in Thailand. She will meet Lesia Tsurenko tomorrow, who beat Tatjana Maria 6-1 6-1.
The other semi-final will feature Xinyu Wang and Lin Zhu.
13:37 CET: Mackenzie McDonald and Tommy Paul have given the United States a 2-0 lead in their Davis Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan, winning their singles rubbers in straight sets in Tashkent.
McDonald cruised past Sergey Fomin 6-4 6-1 in little over an hour, sealing the match with an ace, while Australian Open semi-finalist, Paul, claimed a 6-1 7-6(6) victory over Khumoyun Sultanov, who is ranked 461 places below the American. The tie will continue on Saturday.
12:06 CET: In the first quarter-final in Hua Hin, China's Xinyu Wang has beaten Brit Heather Watson 6-3 6-7(6) 6-4 to book her place in the last four.
11:56 CET: The Davis Cup qualifiers get underway today, which will see 12 nations join last year's winners Canada, runners-up Australia, and wild cards Spain and Italy in the group stage in September.
The teams will battle it out over the next three days, with Great Britain's Cameron Norrie, Germany's Alexander Zverev and the USA's Tommy Paul all in action today.
