19:45 CET - And the first match of the week is done in Austin, with Katie Volynets (21) getting past Alison Riske-Amritraj (32) 6-3 3-6 6-0.
17:50 CET - Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (23) is also through after demolishing Malek Jaziri (39) 6-2 6-0. The latter has now retired from the sport.
17:43 CET - After having to battle back from 5-2 down in the first set, defending champion Andrey Rublev (25) has beaten Filip Krajinovic (31) 7-6 6-2.
