Tite announced the 26 players called up to the Brazilian National Team for the World Cup during an event at the headquarters of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). In a list without major surprises, the coach chose Daniel Alves at right-back. At 39 years old, the Pumas-MEX player will play his third World Cup.

In the attack, the coach confirmed expectations and will take Pedro from Flamengo, to Qatar. In one of the few spots that still left doubt, Tite opted for Bremer (Juventus) in defence. He beat off competition from Gabriel Magalhaes (Arsenal), Ibañez (Roma) and Lucas Veríssimo (Benfica). Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Éder Militão, who had already been virtually guaranteed their places, were also confirmed.

Without the injured Philippe Coutinho in midfield, the Seleção coach called up Lucas Paquetá (West Ham) and Everton Ribeiro (Flamengo). Further options at the World Cup will be Casemiro (Manchester United), Fred (Manchester United), Fabinho (Liverpool) and Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle).

As far as forwards go, among the various alternatives available, Tite chose Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain), Vinícius Júnior (Real Madrid), Raphinha (Barcelona), Antony (Manchester United), Rodrygo (Real Madrid) and Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal). In addition to these and Pedro, the attacking options will be Richarlison (Tottenham) and Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal).
